Heated Pool, Balcony-Waterfront Views

Negative: Tired tired tired. Everything was overused and shabby and tired. Sticky and bad paint and just tired.

Not as good as expected Positive: The sunsets were pretty spectacular when the weather permitted. We weren't treated to sunny evenings every night we were there! The view was pleasant with the (artificial) beach in fron tof us. It was quiet and peaceful even though it was Memorial Weekend. Good communication from the hosts although we didn't need to contact them about anything. Negative: Although the Sailport resort was okay the location of it, apart from the views, wasn't good. There were no decent bars or restaurants nearby (nearest decent bar was 6 miles away). Eating at the onsite bar/eatery was okay but beer was only in cans and cost more than double what we could buy it for in supermarkets. SInce there wasn't much of an atmosphere in there we sat on the balcony instead of going out and watched the sunsets (when they deigned to appear!). We were surrounded by busy highways and a huge glass-fronted office building dominated the outlook from the rear of the property. The property itself was fairly disappointing. The bedroom was really small, with no chairs or any space to put clothes or anything else. The bathroom was in dire need of a makeover - the fittings were past their best (the basin faucet leaked although the shower was good) and the decor was old and tired. The loo looked like it was about to fall over as the sealant had been applied so badly. We would recommend a facelift and renovation to make it more attractive. The same could be said for the lounge/dining area. The table and chairs were pitifully small for eating from and the sofabed wasn't particularly comfortable. The whole property would benefit from redecoration to smarten it up. Even some attention to detail is necessary - the shelf in the unit was at a sever angle and the 3-part picture on the wall wasn't lined up properly. Basic stuff. We've tried not to be negative in our review but rather point out issues as we saw them!

Perfect location, cute, clean apartment Positive: Location to the places we needed to be - we were in perfect range of everything. We loved the pretty beach area and the little bar/restaurant. Negative: Pool is a little small
